Designed for removing larger branch stubs, knobs and unwanted wood when working on medium to larger bonsai, also referred to as a knuckle cutter.
300mm long, the extra-large size provides increased reach and leverage, making it easier to work around larger branches and areas that can be difficult to access with standard-sized knob cutters. The rounded cutting jaws are designed to remove wood below the surrounding surface, leaving a concave cut that allows the tree to gradually heal over the area.
As with all carbon steel bonsai tools, regular care is recommended to help prevent rust and maintain performance. Clean the cutter after use and apply camellia oil to protect the steel and keep the tool operating smoothly.

Usage Advice
For larger or harder dry wood, work gradually by removing the material in smaller increments rather than attempting to cut through excessive amounts in one operation. This helps reduce the force placed on the cutting jaws and helps prevent damage to the tool.
After making a larger cut, applying a suitable bonsai cut paste can help seal and protect the exposed area while the tree begins the healing process.
